Interesting thing happened at the zoo yesterday, Rose was standing on a windowledge looking into the chimps’ cage when she fell off. Instantly the chimps rushed over to the window to check it out. One of them banged on the glass so it was a bit freaky. Perhaps it’s because to a chimp, falling over or out of a tree could be a matter of life and death. I guess they see us and think wow, those things look a bit like us, and so they might be very concerned when they see a human child falling over.
Today was nice, friends brought their two boys aged 9 months and 3 years. EVeryone played, fought, ate, and swapped birth stories variously according to age and inclination. My brother came round too and fixed our fence so it was all quite crowded and fun. I love it when we have a house full of people.
For the last few days I’ve had an achy arm and last night it got so painful I woke up and couldn’t get back to sleep. I am pretty sure it’s the flu jab. Feels a lot better now so hopefully on the mend. It is probably one of those side effects on the leaflet in small print, something about painful and incurable muscle aches for ever, sorry.
